Generate your WhatsApp number
How to generate a WhatsApp Business number for your business from Connver, without bringing your own: it is included in your plan, it connects itself and the channel shows up in your inbox.
If your business doesn't have a WhatsApp Business number yet —or you'd rather not use the one you have— Connver can generate one for you. You activate it from Settings, it connects itself to WhatsApp and the channel shows up in your inbox within seconds. It is included in your plan: no extra charge.
How to generate it
- Go to Settings → Connections.
- In the WhatsApp row, press Generate my number.
- Choose the number's country (United States by default).
- Wait for the Connecting… notice: the channel creates itself and shows up in the list. No QR to scan, nothing to authorise with Meta.
You can also generate it during onboarding, in the channel connection step.
What happens behind the scenes
Connver provisions the number for your account and connects it to WhatsApp. As soon as it is active, your channel goes active: from there, new conversations start landing in the inbox, just like with a number you brought yourself.
What it costs
The WhatsApp number is included in your Connver plan. There is no extra charge for generating it. Messages with your customers carry no per-message cost inside your plan; the templates WhatsApp requires outside the 24-hour window are billed by Meta separately, at their normal rate.
If something gets stuck
- Your account doesn't have auto-provisioning enabled yet: write to us and we'll enable it.
- It asks you to verify your identity: some countries require it by law; we'll take you through verification and the number continues on its way.
- You already have a connected WhatsApp: disconnect it before generating another one — each account works with one number at a time.
- The channel doesn't show up after generating it: refresh the page; if it still doesn't appear, write to us and we'll look at it with you.
If your number was reported
If several people report your number, WhatsApp lowers its quality: yellow is a warning and red already limits how many customers you can reach per day. Taco emails you as soon as we detect it, telling you which number it is.
While it recovers: check the channel in Settings → Connections and avoid sending messages people didn't ask for — every new report extends the penalty. If you have more questions, write to us and we'll look at it with you.
